Welcome to Prowly <3 We've prepared this guide to help you write and publish your first press release. We’ve also added some visual & embedded social media content to show you that these can make a real difference. Ready? Let’s do it 😊
Before you start
To make the most of your Prowly account configuration, please prepare the following assets:
- Logotype and a news story to share
Make sure you can get a hold of some visuals (or at least your brand logo) and a press release or a news story you plan to share with your audience - Media lists
Prepare a media list (XLS or CSV file format) to upload or contact details of someone from your team if you’d like to see first how a Prowly mailing looks like
FYI: On your account you see a sample data (including this story) in each module. You can remove them anytime by clicking "Remove Sample Data" button in the Dashboard view.

Design your Brand Journal
Upload your logo and pick theme color to match your brand identity:

Quick Start - Step 1
Add social media streams to your Brand Journal
Simply paste the URLs to your brand’s social media channels. You can leave this step if there are no channels you’d like to show here.

Quick Start - Step 2
Create first story
Write your first news or press release and make it public on your Brand Journal. Fill in all the basic info in the first step, and write or paste the text in step two (inside Story Creator). Use separate elements to enter your text and other contents: choose from various types including classic text and images to image galleries to video embedded to social media conversations. Your story will get published automatically after the mailing.

Quick Start - Step 3
Prepare your media list
You can either import your media lists from XLS/CSV files or simply add some contacts manually. Second option will be better if you want to see first how a Prowly mailing looks like.
Send your first story out
Create new mailing and share the news with your contacts. You’ll see a new window, where you can define email headline and copy. Don’t forget to configure all the settings, including sender name and email, the Story (the one you’ve just created) that you wish to send out, and the story link text that will appear in the email and take the recipient straight to your Brand Journal.

Quick Start - Step 5
Once you’re done, you can send a test email (it will be sent to the email address you’re using to sign in), send the mailing immediately, or schedule it for some other time.
Just a few minutes after you’ve send out your mailing, you can start tracking results, including open and click rates. Just click on your mailing headline from the mailings list. Go to the Detailed stats screen to plan your follow-up tasks.

Well done! You’ve just mastered the basics of Prowly. From now on, your Dashboard present real data reflecting the effect of all your activities. a
